Three generations on one homestead

The clinic sits in the house Dr. Kyle Adkins grew up in, on land his grandparents homesteaded.

  1. The homestead

Dr. Adkins’ grandparents settled this land off what’s now the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway.

  2. A vet on the Wagon Train

His father was a large-animal veterinarian who served as the vet for the Bicentennial Wagon Train. Those photos still hang in the clinic.

  3. The house becomes a clinic

Dr. Kyle and his wife raised their family upstairs and turned the ground floor into Country Doc.

  4. The next Adkins

Today his daughter works alongside him. “Whether you’re related by blood or not, everyone here is like one big family.”
